d’Arry’s Verandah Named The Best Restaurant In A Winery 2016

Announced at the 2016 Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence, one of our McLaren Vale favourites has taken home the top gong for Best Restaurant in a Winery.

Selected from five outstanding South Australian finalists, d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant was recognised for exceptional service and culinary talent… and we’d like to add, a lobster dish to die for.

Receiving rave reviews and accolades isn’t new for the team at d’Arrys, having received this same prestigious award in 2008. Their ever expanding trophy cabinet including nods from those in the know, such as Australian Gourmet Traveller, The Advertiser Food Awards and The Australian Good Food & Travel Guide.

If you’ve never dined at d’Arrys, we highly recommend you make a booking, and quickly. And please take our word for it, with breathtaking views overlooking rolling hills, you’re in for an unforgettable dining experience. Head Chef Peter Reschke draws inspiration from local and seasonal produce to complement the award winning d'Arenberg wines, which are available for tasting at cellar door. Open daily for lunch, guests can dine a la carte or indulge their senses with an eight course degustation menu.

“For those who like to go all the way, you can’t go past the degustation menu”’ says Restaurant Manager Jo Reschke, with a cheeky grin on her face. “Once the menu is created, Pete and I taste through each course and carefully select the d'Arenberg wine that will best complement the dish. It is important to ensure the wine and food work together in harmony, providing diners with a different culinary perspective with every taste.”
